Living on campus right for you? Follow these steps below.

On April 11, 2023, SUNY announced an end to the Emergency COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate, ending a requirement that any student attending a SUNY college or university in-person be vaccinated. Starting with the 2023 summer semester, students can choose to live in the residence hall without receiving the COVID-19 vaccination.

Before you begin... 

  • Applications are given priority on a first come first serve basis. 
  • Please be aware of the Important Dates shown on this page.
  • We are currently streamlining the process for future students. Please follow the directions that apply to you. 

For Fall '23 & Spring '24 Students

Good news! We are making the process as digital as possible. Complete the following steps! They will take place on our new housing portal.

Please note you cannot apply for housing until you apply for admission to the college and have an account set up. If you complete these steps and are still having trouble with your account, please reach out to the helpdesk

Step 1

Log-in to your student email account to set up two-factor authentication before completing the housing application.
 

Step 2

Complete the housing application at the portal online.

Step 3

Submit supplemental material online using your Application Dashboard available after you submit your online application. This includes health insurance information, immunizations (including COVID vaccinations), and pay the $200 non-refundable application fee.

 

For Summer Session Students

Summer housing is available for students taking in-person classes at SUNY OCC during the summer sessions!

Important Dates

These are the dates for Fall 2023 and Spring 2024

New Students

  • March 1st: Online Application is Available
  • August 1st: Deadline to cancel housing without financial liability 
  • August 1st: Deadline to complete roommate groups
  • August 7th: Room Assignments sent to students
  • After August 7th: Assignments made on a rolling bases
  • August 24th: Residence Hall Move-in

Returning Students

  • March 1st: Online Application is Available
  • April 17th: Priority Deadline 
  • April 24th: Returning student room selection lottery
  • May 1st: Rolling assignments for returning students
  • August 1st: Deadline to Cancel Housing without financial liability
  • August 26th: Residence Hall Move-in
