Adaptive Technology

Coulter Library has the following adaptive technologies to assist students with low visual acuity.  More resources can be obtained at the Office of Accessibility Resources.

Video Print Magnifier - Enlarges the print in a book and displays it on a video screen. Available in the book stacks.

Zoom-Twix - Zoom-Twix takes the easy-to-use proven technology of Zoom-Ex, the seamless integration of an instant digital scanner and lightning fast OCR, and adds a zoomable long distance camera to capture what’s on a blackboard, whiteboard, on your desk or in the room-at any magnification, all controlled from your laptop’s keyboard. Zoom-Twix is ideal for anyone with low vision but especially students or professionals who need to capture text on a blackboard, whiteboard, on a desk or in the room-at any magnification, all controlled from a laptop’s keyboard. Available at the circulation counter on the first floor.
