Onondaga Community College honored outstanding students in each of its degree and certificate programs during the 2022 Curriculum Honors ceremony. The event was held May 4 in Storer Auditorium.

The following students were recognized for excelling in the School of Art, Design, Media & Music:

Art: Graphic Design - Kathryn Patrick

  • Kathryn wasn't sure college would be "her thing" but decided to take some classes with a friend. She immediately became one of the top students. She earned her associate degree and plans to transferring and continue her studies in Art and Art History.

  • Joe started at OCC in the spring of 2020, the same semester when the pandemic closed everything down. He excelled in the BMC degree program and will continue his education at Emerson College in Boston.

  • Rowan attended OCC thanks in large part to the Frederick Marvin and Ernst Schuh Scholarship, and the Barbara Micale Scholarship. She will attend Nazareth College as a Music Education major with a primary focus in Piano.

Sound Recording - Egor Golubchikov

  • Egor is a native of Russia who came to OCC from Fayetteville-Manlius High School. He is the first-ever curriculum honoree in the new Sound Recording degree program. Egor will transfer to a four-year school and continue to pursue his goals of becoming an engineer and producer.
