Onondaga Community College's Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society chapter is celebrating another outstanding year.
At the recent national conference, PTK Catalyst, OCC's chapter received the following awards:
- Distinguished Officer Team, which is awarded to the top 20 officer teams in the world.
- Distinguished Advisor, which was presented to Dr. Annie Tuttle.
- Dr. Tuttle also received the Marshall Award which is given to one advisor annually. The Marshall Award, named in honor of long-time PTK supporter Dr. Jo Marshall, provides financial support to chapter advisors for the completion of projects that lead to personal leadership growth. The award provides a $5,000 stipend to advisors with at least five years of service for the completion of their prosed project. Dr. Tuttle's project is titled, "Leading Through Fear and Anxiety: Helping Myself and Students Learn Strategies to Cope and Thrive."
OCC's PTK chapter also received numerous New York State awards including:
- Excellence in Leadership
- Excellence in Service
- Excellence in Programming
- Edgiest Chapter
- Most Distinguished Officer Team
- 2nd Runner Up - Poster Presentation
