Skip Frost in The Gallery
Skip Frost's "Intimate Spaces" exhibit is open for viewing in The Gallery on the first floor of Ferrante Hall.

Skip Frost wants people to remember how good life was before the pandemic. That's why he created the drawings and paintings which make up the exhibit titled "Intimate Spaces." "The pandemic made my aim of using art to connect with people all the more urgent. Seeing places that normally bustle with activity abandoned is shocking. It gives me a hollow feeling. I want to portray the opposite of that, the filled-up-full happiness of people enjoying a shared space," said Frost.

"Intimate Spaces" is the first gallery show of the spring semester. It's open for viewing every Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in The Gallery at the Ann Felton Multicultural Center on the first floor of Onondaga Community College's Ferrante Hall.

Frost is a Syracuse native who earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Purchase College and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Pennsylvania. He's an adjunct professor in the Art department at OCC and co-owns a decorative painting company. You can meet him at an Artist's Reception which will be held Thursday, February 10 from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. in The Gallery. "It's so easy to feel isolated and alone in this pandemic, and even more so in the winter. I hope this exhibit creates a timeless image of the everyday, the things we take for granted."
