I. Policy Statement
Onondaga Community College’s facilities are a significant community resource. This policy sets forth the guidelines the College will use in permitting public/community use of these facilities.
II. Reason for Policy
This policy is intended to create guidelines under which the College may allow organizations to use its facilities on a non-discriminatory basis, while ensuring that such uses do not materially conflict with the College’s programs and its mission.
III. Applicability of the Policy
All members of the College community, as well as any members of the general public desiring to use the College’s facilities, should be familiar with this policy.

VI. Procedures
Community and other external organizations may use College facilities where such use can be coordinated with College activities. Political organizations may be approved to use College facilities, provided that equal access will be given to other points of view. Appropriate fees will apply. The College reserves the right to refuse the use of facilities to any individual or organization.
Associated Fees
Organizations that use College facilities are subject to rental fees established by the College. Payment will also be required for all incidental expenses that may arise, including but not limited to, the use of phone, internet, copying, audio visual equipment and additional staffing requirements.
Lease Agreement
All organizations and individuals wishing to use College facilities will be required to enter into a standard lease agreement. The lease agreement will require, among other things, that the organization/individual carry specified types and amounts of liability insurance covering the use of the College's facilities, listing the County of Onondaga, Onondaga Community College, and Onondaga Community College Housing Development Corporation (where applicable) for liability arising out of its use of the facilities. The organization/individual will be required to submit proof of the required insurance prior to assuming the premises.
Conduct of Organizations
All organizations and individuals using the College’s facilities must abide by all federal, state and local laws and must abide by the College’s policies. Children must be accompanied by adults and have responsible adult supervision at all times.
Library Use
The College will grant members of the public access to the College's library in a manner that is both fiscally sound and consistent with the College's educational mission. Members of the public must abide by the Library's policies.
