Located in Syracuse, OCC is in the heart of CNY. Truthfully? We're a bit different than the city, but let us show off our favorite things about the area and our school.
Natural beauty
It's a nature-lover's paradise here. Check out the unique glacial lakes at Green Lakes State Park or hop on a bike trail along the Erie Canal. There's nothing quite like fall in CNY.
Culinary hotspot
Syracuse is a sanctuary city, so there is cuisine from all over the world available right here. Did we mention we invented salt potatoes and chicken riggies? Not to brag, but we've been featured on Food Network over 9 times.
Shopping & entertainment
Aside from the attractions and major stores in Destiny USA (the largest mall in NYS), there are plenty of local gems to check out from plant stores and record shops to music venues.
We're not your average community college. You'll get the full experience here whether you are an athlete, musician, scholar, artist, volunteer, or more. See what we offer.

You'll need a place to stay, that's why we've got you covered with 4 residence halls to choose from. Every student has access to the lounge and floor kitchens, but if you're an upperclassman, you can pick a suite with a kitchen. There are plenty of perks to ResLife - take a look!
Get educated both in and out of the classroom. With over 45 degree programs you have your pick of the litter. Plus, 30 of those are direct-to-career so you can jump into a job in 2 years or less.

Catch a game or try out for a team! We've got nationally recognized athletics programs for you to check out.

There are plenty of places to eat on campus including the dining center, Starbucks, and the student-run cafe, Béchamel, all in Gordon.
