Who we are
The OCC Testing Services mission is to provide a calm and welcoming testing environment. Testing Services adheres to the National College Testing Association’s Professional Standards and Guidelines. The NCTA’s guidelines are designed to ensure the highest ethical and professional testing practices for our students, faculty and staff and for the greater community at large. The Testing Services team provides testing support and guidance to the college and community in a distraction-free environment. Some of the services we offer include accommodative testing for students with disabilities and test proctoring for other schools and institutions. To maintain academic integrity, Testing Services video records test sessions and employs lockdown browsers and remote control of student computers. Lockers are provided for storage of items not allowed in the test room. All suspicious behavior is reported immediately to the appropriate parties along with supporting video, screen captures and/or hardcopy materials.
Incoming students are not required to take placement testing and will receive placement recommendations from their advisors during advising and registration appointments. Schedule an appointment with your advisor today.
